VILLA GOLFO ARANCI FOR SALE BY THE SEA
VILLA GOLFO ARANCI FOR SALE BY THE SEA, Modern elegance on the “Fifth Beach”.
A stone’s throw from the water and with direct access to the renowned Fifth Beach of Golfo Aranci, we offer for sale a rare opportunity: this is a fabulous newly built pieds dans l’eau villa surrounded by a magnificent Mediterranean garden of 800 square meters and with a splendid solarium overlooking the entire Gulf.
The property is on one level and has an internal surface of about 170 square meters plus a garden of 800 square meters.
The main body, consisting of spacious and bright rooms, consists of four comfortable bedrooms, two of which are double, four bathrooms and a large living area with an elegant open kitchen.
The property includes a comfortable dependance, two covered parking spaces and a local garage ideal for storing bicycles and beach items.
The solution represents a rare opportunity for those seeking the exclusivity of a beachfront villa and convenience in accessing all the services and shops in the town. The name is a misinterpretation of mid-20th century cartographers: Gulfu di li Ranci, ‘gulf of crabs’, became Golfo Aranci. Or it would derive from one of the countless coastal ‘pearls’, the beach of sos Aranzos. The town extends over a spit of land in the middle of the sea, overlooking the Gulf of Olbia, which ends at the base of Capo Figari, ideal for diving – especially at the Roccia del Mamuthone and Capo Filasca – and trekking in an oasis naturalistic, habitat of mouflons and rare birds, which includes the overlooking islet of Figarolo. The promontory is surmounted by war fortifications and a lighthouse, the ‘Semaphore of the Navy’, famous for the experiments of Guglielmo Marconi (1932). In honor of the brilliant inventor, the Column of Light, a granite sculpture, was erected in the village. The area was inhabited in the Nuragic age, as confirmed by the sacred well of Milis (VII-VI BC), then it was a Roman port. Since the early twentieth century it has been a freight yard and, since the 1960s, second access from the sea to Gallura. The inhabited center, originally a fishing village, a Municipality since 1979, populated by two thousand and 500 inhabitants, has had great tourist development, a stone’s throw from Costa Smeralda to the north and the marine area of Tavolara to the south. You will admire a village of colorful houses, savor golfarancina cuisine with seafood specialties and typical Sardinian dishes and go shopping in the lively downtown promenade, where the parish church of San Giuseppe stands out, a destination for devotees of Padre Pio. The patron saint is celebrated in mid-March. The most heartfelt feast, in August, is the Assumption, associated with the fish festival. Excursions by sea and paths by land lead to spectacular inlets with sandy paradises that alternate with cliffs overlooking turquoise and crystalline waters. Over twenty beaches, some wild, others comfortable and equipped, such as the Five Beaches, small paradises of fine white sand overlooking the town, one after the other. Towards Olbia you will find the White beach, fine sand alternating with rocks, the beautiful Cala Sassari, the enchanting expanse of Nodu Pianu, separated by a small path from the wild beauty of Cala Banana, the corner of paradise of Baia Caddinas, the coves of fine sand of Terrata, the beaches of Baia de Bahas, small sheltered swimming pools, and the beach of Baracconi (huts for shepherds and fishermen). Towards Porto Rotondo there is the beach of Marinella, a kilometer of gentle slopes of soft sand, smooth rocks and an emerald sea. Around Capo Figari, there are the fine golden sandy beaches of Cala Moresca, the protected reserve of Cala Greca, a pink pebble beach hidden by cliffs, the delightful Cala del Sonno, where fishermen took refuge, and Cala Sabina, a beach with Caribbean appearance, reachable by the railway that runs along the promontory. Nestled in the seabed off the third beach, there is the MuMart, a submerged contemporary art museum, which can also be visited by snorkeling. The Mizar submarine completes the show, from which you will admire an ‘open sea’ aquarium. Golfo Aranci hosts the International Dolphin Research Center, which will delight you with acrobatics.
